Israeli Basketball League (National League) History

League status

The National League is the second-tier professional basketball league in Israel. National League was established in 1955.
The National League sits above the Liga Artzit which effectively forms the third-tier of Israeli basketball.
At the end of regular season, top 8 teams qualify to the play-offs.
The bottom 3 teams are relegated to Liga Artzit.
Limits of non-Israeli players per team: 1 import players (non-Europeans), 1 Bosman players (with European passport) . Total number of allowed imports and Bosmans is 1.
