Elitzur Holon (D1) signed Tanaya Atkinson, a 30-year-old American guard standing at 183cm and coming from Temple University, for the upcoming season. Atkinson last played for Estepona in the Spanish LF Endesa, where she averaged 3.7ppg, 2.5rpg, and 1.3apg in 15 games. She contributed to her team reaching the Supercup final. Prior to that, she had a pre-season stint with Valencia Basket Club in the Spanish league, playing 4 games in LF Endesa with averages of 7.0ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.0apg, and 1.5spg. Her team also reached the Supercup final.
Thanks to pro basketball, Atkinson has experienced life on three different continents. She is familiar with European, Latin American, and North American leagues. She has played professionally in Australia and Mexico (Adelitas and Panteras) and Spain (Araski, Tenerife, and Zaragoza).
Among many awards, she was voted to the Eurobasket.com All-Spanish League All-Imports Team in 2025.
Atkinson graduated from Temple University in 2018 and this will be her ninth season in pro basketball.
