Israeli National League round 3 best performance: Austin Tilghman (by Hoops Agents)

American Guard Austin Tilghman (185-G-1995, agency: Octagon Europe) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Elitzur Ashkelon, receiving a Hoops Agents National League Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 31-year old player was the main contributor (34 points, eight rebounds and nine assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat I.Nahariya (2-1) 109-104. Ashkelon is placed at 7th position in Israeli National League. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost that single game earlier this season. Ashkelon will need more victories to improve their 2-1 record. In the team's last game Tilghman had a remarkable 61.1% from 2-point range. He turned to be Ashkelon's top player in his first season with the team. Former Monmouth University star has very solid stats this year. Tilghman is in league's top in points (6th best: 23.0ppg), assists (8th best: 6.0apg) and averages impressive 3.0spg and 52.3% FGP.

The second best player in last round's games was young American KJ Williams (208-F/C-1999) of Hapoel Migdal Haemek/Emek Izrael/Nazareth Elite. Williams had a very good evening with 35 points and 9 rebounds. Bad luck as H.Migdal lost that game 71-88 to M.Rehovot (2-1). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Williams is a newcomer at H.Migdal, but is already one of team's top players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 15.0ppg (#4). He also registered 7.7 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was American forward Lamont West (203-F-2002) of Maccabi Rehovot (#5). West showcased his all-around game by recording 22 points, 19 rebounds (!!!) and 5 assists in the last round. He was a key player of M.Rehovot, leading his team to a 88-71 easy win against H.Migdal (#14, 0-3). M.Rehovot needs these victories very badly if they think about getting closer to top teams. Their record at this point is 2 victories and 1 lost game. West has a great season in Israel. After only 3 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.7rpg (4th best).
