Alex Tyus (ex Runa Basket) signs at H.Jerusalem- April 25, 2024
He represented Israel at the European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) in Slovenia 11 years ago. His stats at that event were 2 games: 1.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 1.0 bpg. He is a very experienced player, having played professionally in France, Italy (Cantu), Russia (UNICS Kazan), Spain (Real Madrid), Turkey (Efes, Pinar Karsiyaka, and Galatasaray), and Israel (Maccabi Tel Aviv and Maccabi Ashdod/Be'er Tuvia). Tyus' team won the Spanish Liga Endesa Supercup in 2022. He was voted to Eurobasket.com All-EuroCup Honorable Mention in 2020. He is close to retirement age as a player. It may be one of the last seasons in his extensive career, which he may end at H. Jerusalem. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2011 and it's his 13th (hopefully lucky) season in pro basketball.
