Egle Sventoraite joins Roma

Egle Sventoraite

Oxygen Roma Basket (Serie A1) agreed terms with 32-year old Lithuanian international center Egle Sventoraite (198cm-1991) for new 2023-24 season. Sventoraite played last season at Beretta Famila Schio in Italian Serie A1. She managed to play in four leagues in two countries last year (!!!). In 10 Serie A1 games she had 5.7ppg, 3.3rpg and 1.0apg. Sventoraite helped them to win the A1 title and the cup. She also played 7 games in Euroleague where she recorded 3.9ppg and 1.0rpg. Sventoraite contributed to her team making it to the Euroleague Final Four. The other team she played shortly was Hatay Bsb in Turkish KBSL. In 6 games she averaged 12.2ppg, 5.0rpg and 2.3apg. Another team she played that season for was Botas in Turkish KBSL. The team played in three different competitions that year, and she had a chance to explore basketball on different levels. In 10 Turkish KBSL games she got 8.0ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.4apg. She also played 2 games in Euroleague where she got 13.0ppg, 9.5rpg, 1.0spg and 2.5bpg. Sventoraite also played 6 games in Eurocup where she got 8.7ppg, 5.2rpg and 1.3spg.
She has been also a member of Lithuanian international program for some years. Sventoraite has regularly played for Lithuanian senior team since 2013 and previously for U20 National Team back in 2011.
She represented Lithuania at the Qualifications to European Championships (FIBA EuroBasket) 2017 seven years ago. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 2.5ppg, 3.0rpg.
Sventoraite is quite experienced player. She has played also professionally in Belgium (Castors Braine), Hungary (PEAC-Pecs), Poland (Sosnowiec), Slovakia (MBK), Turkey (Kayseri and Izmit), Lithuania (Neptunas and Utena) and Czech Republic (Nymburk).
The list of the past achievements is quite long as among others she was voted Eurobasket.com All-Slovakian Extraliga Bosman Player of the Year back in 2019.
