Stephen Maxwell claims Liga Unike weekly honour

American Stephen Maxwell (201-F-93) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for league's second-best Peja and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 8.
The 28-year old forward had a double-double of 30 points and eleven rebounds, while his team edged out Teuta (#5, 4-4) 103-101. Peja maintains the 2nd position in Liga Unike . They would have been even better if they did not have these two lost games earlier in Regular Season. Peja will need more victories to improve their 6-2 record. Maxwell turned to be Peja's top player in his first season with the team. California State University Northridge graduate has very impressive stats this year. Maxwell is in league's top in points (3rd best: 22.1ppg), rebounds (6th best: 8.8rpg) and averages solid 65.8% FGP.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was American guard Gerard Davis (193-G) of Kamza. Davis impressed basketball fans with 35 points, 4 rebounds and 9 assists. Bad luck as Kamza lost that game 86-95 to the higher-ranked Prizreni-16 (#3, 5-3). Kamza managed to keep the same 7th spot in the standings. 6 lost games are too many comparing to just two victories Kamza managed to get this year. Davis is well-known by Kamza fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 24.7ppg (#2). His other stats are also decent: 5.7rpg and 5.2apg.

The third best performed player last round was Endrit Hysenagolli (208-C-88) of SK Tirana (#4). Hysenagolli scored 25 points and grabbed seventeen rebounds (!!!). Despite Hysenagolli's great performance Tirana lost 89-100 to slightly lower-ranked Rahoveci (#6, 3-5). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The last thing Tirana needs is to lose another game like this one. They lose more and more distance to the top teams. Their record is 4 victories and 4 lost games. Hysenagolli has a great season in Liga Unike. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 11.8rpg (#1 in league).
