Erjon Kastrati claims Liga Unike weekly honour

Albanian-Kosovan Erjon Kastrati (197-G/F-1994) had an amazing evening in the last round for league's leader Ylli and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The 27-year old swingman had the game-high 28 points adding five rebounds and seven assists for Ylli in his team's victory, helping them to beat Rahoveci (#6, 4-7) 91-80. It allowed Ylli to consolidate first place in the Liga Unike. Ylli has a very good season and are considered to have a run for the championship title. They improved their record to 9-1. In the team's last game Kastrati had a remarkable 85.7% from 2-point range and got five three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He has many years of experience at Ylli, through which he has constantly improved. Kastrati has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 19.9ppg) and averages solid 2.9spg,60.9% FGP and 41.7% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young American swingman T.J. Dunans (196-G/F-1992) of Rahoveci. Dunans impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Bad luck as Rahoveci lost that game 80-91 to the higher-ranked Ylli (#1, 9-1). Rahoveci is still second from the bottom in the standings. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 4-7 record. Dunans is one of the most experienced players at Rahoveci and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was Polish Dardan Berisha (190-SG-1988) of second-ranked Peja. Berisha got into 30-points club by scoring exactly 30 points in the last round. He went also for five assists. He was a key player of Peja, leading his team to a 89-78 win against the lower-ranked Tirana (#5, 5-6). Peja needs these victories very badly if they think about taking over top position in the standings. Their record at this point is 8 victories and 3 lost games. Berisha has a great season in Liga Unike. After only 8 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.1ppg (5th best) and assists with 7.1apg (2nd best).
