Jericole Hellems claims Liga Unike weekly honour

American Jericole Hellems (201-PF-1999, agency: GSE Worldwide) had a great game in the last round for league's leader Vellaznimi Gjakove and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 25-year old power forward had the game-high 21 points adding nine rebounds and six assists for Vellaznimi in his team's victory, helping them to beat Beselidhja (#2, 3-1) 89-83. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Vellaznimi to jump to the first place in the Liga Unike. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but Vellaznimi already had a very good start winning all 3 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Hellems had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Vellaznimi's top player in his first season with the team. North Carolina State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Hellems is league's best scorer averaging so far 22.5ppg. Hellems is in league's top in assists (7th best: 5.0apg) and averages solid 47.1% from behind 3-point line.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young center Vinsent Grazhdani (203-C-2002) of second-ranked Beselidhja Lezhe. Grazhdani impressed basketball fans with a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Beselidhja lost that game 83-89 to league's leader Vellaznimi (#1, 3-0). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Beselidhja still maintains its place in the top 2 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team's 3-1 record is not bad at all. Grazhdani is well-known by Beselidhja fans and he already established his position as one of team's most reliable players.

The third best performed player last round was American Dy'Quavis Wilkins (196-F-2001) of Vllaznia Shkodra (#4). Wilkins scored 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds (!!!). Despite Wilkins' great performance the Vllaznia lost 67-83 to #2 ranked Ylli. But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates especially in such crucial game. Vllaznia can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 3 games. Wilkins has individually a great season in Liga Unike. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 21.8ppg (2nd best).
