Walton's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

26-year old American forward Maurice Walton (206-F-1998) had a very impressive game in the last round for Vllaznia Shkodra and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 5.
He had a double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds, while his team outclassed Sigal Prishtina (#2, 2-1) with 31-point margin 88-57. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. Vllaznia is placed at 3rd position in Liga Unike. Too late to improve their position as they are currently ranked such low. They already lost 3 games and recorded just one victory. In the team's last game Walton had a remarkable 58.3% from 2-point range and got four three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Vllaznia's top player in his first season with the team. Benedictine University at Mesa graduate has very impressive stats this year. Walton is in league's top in points (5th best: 18.8ppg) and averages solid 61.0% FGP and 50.0% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was Arlando Arnold (185-G). He is American guard in his first season at Vllaznia. In the last game Arnold recorded an impressive triple-double of 12 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists. Of course together with Walton he helped Vllaznia Shkodra with another comfortable win outscoring slightly higher-ranked Sigal Prishtina (#2, 2-1) 88-57. It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the title. Vllaznia consolidated its place in top 3 of the standings. 3 lost games are too many comparing to just one victory Vllaznia managed to get this year. Arnold is a newcomer at Vllaznia and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to guard Derrick Wilson (185-PG-1992) of league's leader Golden Eagle Ylli. Wilson scored 18 points and passed 6 assists. He was a key player of Ylli, leading his team to a 87-62 easy win against #4 ranked Tirana. Ylli started extremely well this year. They recorded 3 victories without losing a single game. Wilson turns to be one of the very best players in the league while he is also a leader of the top team having his eyes on the championship title. The season just started for Wilson as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
