Holt's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

24-year old American forward Austin Holt (198-F-2001) put on an amazing game in the last round for league's best team Apolonia Fier and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, while his team edged out Vllaznia (#4, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 75-72. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Apolonia to consolidate first place in the Liga Unike. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Apolonia won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Holt had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Apolonia's top player in his first season with the team. Hamline University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Holt is in league's top in points (6th best: 17.0ppg) and averages solid 77.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Jahmal Abbey-Wright (196-G/F-1998) of KB Teuta Durres. He is Canadian swingman in his first season at Teuta. In the last game Abbey-Wright recorded an impressive 29 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Bad luck as Teuta lost that game 89-100 to Beselidhja (2-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Abbey-Wright is a newcomer at Teuta and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#2).

Third place about best performers goes to forward Trey Edmonds III (208-F-2003, agency: Elevate Sports Alliance) of league's leader Beselidhja Lezhe. Edmonds III scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He was a key player of Beselidhja, leading his team to a 100-89 win against #4 ranked Teuta in a game of the week. Beselidhja has a very good start of the season. But there were just 2 games played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Edmonds III also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. Edmonds III has a great season in Liga Unike. After only 2 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.5ppg (7th best) and rebounds with 10.0rpg (2nd best).
