American-Kosovan Shooting guard Scott Bamforth (188-SG-1989) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for top-ranked Golden Eagle Ylli, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 3.
The 36-year old player was the main contributor (28 points and two assists) to his team's victory, helping them to beat Apolonia (#2, 1-1) 72-61. The game was between two of the league's top four teams. It allowed Ylli to take over top position in the Liga Unike. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Ylli won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Bamforth had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 11 attempts. He turned to be Ylli's top player in his first season with the team. Former Weber State University star has very solid stats this year. Bamforth is league's best scorer averaging so far 28.0ppg. Bamforth is in league's top in and averages impressive 54.5% from behind 3-point line.

The second best player in last round's games was young American Jaylen Bates (201-F-2001) of league's second-best Apolonia Fier. Bates had a very good evening with a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds. Bad luck as Apolonia lost that game 61-72 to Ylli (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Bates is a newcomer at Apolonia, but is already one of team's top players. Former Youngstown State University star Bates is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market.

Third on the list of top players last round was another Ylli's star - American center Brandon Huffman (208-C-1998, agency: BIG). Huffman scored 9 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. He was another key player of Golden Eagle Ylli, helping his team with a 72-61 win against #2 ranked Apolonia in a game of the week. Ylli has a very good start of the season. But there was just one game played, so it's too early to judge them at this stage. Huffman also has a very good start of the season with very strong stats. The season just started for Huffman as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be another team's leader.
