Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Sparta (13-3) on the court of fifth ranked Esch on Saturday night. Visitors were rolled over by Esch 92-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sparta. Esch made 16-of-18 free shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Quinn Nelson (190-1999, college: SW Baptist) who helped to win the game recording 24 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international power forward Clancy Rugg (204-1991, college: Vermont) contributed with 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Jarvis Williams (198-1989, college: MSU, agency: BIG) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds for Sparta. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Esch maintains fifth position with 10-6 record. Sparta at the other side still keeps top place with three games lost. They share the position with Arantia. Esch are looking forward to face bottom-ranked AB Contern (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Sparta will play against Kordall S. (#8) and is hoping to win this game.
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Etzella (12-4) against ninth ranked Kordall S. (5-10) on Saturday night. Visiting Etzella was defeated by Kordall S. in Rodange 106-92. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Erik Timko (196, college: Delaware) who helped to win the game recording 46 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds and Robertas Jonaitis who added 26 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side the former international point guard Philippe Gutenkauf (183-1995) responded with 23 points and 7 assists. Kordall S. moved-up to eighth place. Defending champion Etzella keeps the third position with four games lost. Kordall S. will play against league's leader Sparta in Bertrange in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Etzella will play at home against Residence and hopes to get back on the winning track.
The game in Bereldange was also quite interesting. Third ranked Arantia (13-3) played at the court of 7th ranked Residence (8-8). Arantia managed to secure a 9-point victory 94-85 on Saturday. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by Tyrell Sturdivant who had that evening a double-double by scoring 28 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds by Clark Slajchert did not help to save the game for Residence. Arantia have an impressive five-game winning streak. They used an opportunity after Sparta lost their game and moved up joining them at the top position. Residence lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with eight games lost. Arantia will meet at home Musel Pikes (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Residence will play against Etzella (#3) in Ettelbruck and hope to secure a win.

Other games in round 16 were not that significant. Racing was beaten by Amicale on the road 90-84. Mamer won against AB Contern on its own court 94-83. T71 outscored Musel Pikes in Dudelange 100-73.

Amicale - Racing 90-84

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Amicale (11-5) beat 8th ranked Racing (5-11) in Steinsel 90-84 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Amicale looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Racing's players. American players dominated the game. The winners were led by forward Ashton Sherrell (203, college: JCSU, agency: BIG) who scored that evening 28 points and 9 rebounds and guard Malcolm Richardson (185-1994, college: Florida St. Jkv) supported him with 9 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by forward Antonio Bivins (199-1992, college: UMass Lowell) did not help to save the game for Racing. Center Brendan Temple (206-2000, college: Purdue NW) added 17 points and 11 rebounds for lost side. Four Racing players scored in double figures. Racing's coach Adam Radomirovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Amicale have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain fourth position with 11-5 record. Newly promoted Racing dropped to the ninth place with 11 games lost. They share the position with Mamer. Amicale will meet T71 (#6) in the next round. Racing will play against Mamer and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

Very predictable result when sixth ranked T71 (9-6) rolled over 11th ranked Musel Pikes (3-13) in Stadrbredimus 100-73 on Saturday.
