Valletta B.C. has officially signed rising Maltese center Matteo Rieger (193-C-2007) for the 2025–26 season. The 18-year-old represented Malta in U18 FIBA European Championship Division C tournaments, recording a game with 5 blocks vs Luxembourg shared previously on Eurobasket (https://www.eurobasket.com/Malta/news/944972/Malta-Struggles-Against-Luxembourg)

"Valletta B.C. is proud to welcome Matteo Rieger to the club!

A center with national team experience, Matteo has represented Malta in both the U16 and U18 Division C competitions. During the 2025 FIBA U18 EuroBasket Division C, he averaged 1.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game—including a standout performance of 6 points and 9 rebounds vs Gibraltar.

Matteo is a hardworking young talent known for his strong defensive presence and rebounding ability. For the 2025–2026 season, he will be part of both Valletta Dream in the First Division and Valletta Knights in the Second Division.
