Braun's double-double lands him Player of the Week award

24-year old American forward AJ Braun (206-F-2002, agency: Dagger Basket) had an amazing evening in the last round for KK Mornar-Barsko Zlato Bar and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 1.
He had a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds, while his team beat Vukovi Zeta (#13, 0-1), the league's bottom-ranked team 83-71. Mornar is placed at 4th position in Montenegrin league. But it's just the very beginning of the season and Mornar won just one (their first) game. It's too early to say anything as the standings can be changed completely after next round. In the team's last game Braun had a remarkable 77.8% from 2-point range. He turned to be Mornar's top player in his first season with the team. California Baptist University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Braun leads league in rebounds with 13.0rpg. Braun is in league's top in and averages solid 2.0bpg and 77.8% FGP.

Second best performed player last round was Ezekiel Cannedy (188-G-2004) of KK Teodo Tivat. He is American guard in his first season at Teodo. In the last game Cannedy recorded an impressive 29 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists. Bad luck as Teodo lost that game 72-94 to Kotor (1-0). The season is still at the very beginning and this lost game may not be such crucial, of course if they start win the games. Let's wait for the next round. Cannedy is a newcomer at Teodo and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 29.0ppg (#1). He also recorded 4.0 assists per game.

Third place about best performers goes to Zdravko Boskovic (200-SF-1996, agency: Olsta) of KK Lovcen Cetinje (#11). Boskovic scored 27 points. Despite Boskovic's great performance the Lovcen lost 77-87 to Derby (#2, 1-0). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. The season just started for Boskovic as he played only first game. But it already looks like he can be team's leader.
