American
Malique Jacobs (190-G-2000) had a great game in the last round for
KK Strumica and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 4.
The 26-year old guard had the game-high 29 points adding two rebounds and six assists for
Strumica in his team's victory, helping them to beat
MZT Skopje (#2,
3-1)
87-79. The game was between two of the league's top four teams.
Strumica is placed at 4th position in North Macedonian Super League.
Strumica is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their
2-2 record. In the team's last game Jacobs had a remarkable 66.7% from 2-point range. He turned to be
Strumica's top player in his first season with the team. Kent State University graduate has very impressive stats this year. Jacobs is in league's top in points (8th best: 20.7ppg) and averages solid 61.5% FGP.
The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Serbian guard
Nikola Kocovic (197-G-1996, agency:
011 Sports) of
KK Pelister Sport Bitola. Kocovic impressed basketball fans with 31 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists. Of course Pelister cruised to a
101-94 relatively comfortable win over slightly lower-ranked
Madzari 2003 (#8,
1-3). This victory allowed Pelister to move up to 6th position in the standings. His team lost some distance to top teams. But a
2-2 record is not bad and everything may still change. Kocovic is a newcomer at Pelister and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 30.5ppg (#1). He also recorded 5.0 assists per game.
The third best performed player last round was American
Cam Hamilton (180-PG-1999) of
Sokoli 1933 (#10). Hamilton showcased his all-around game by recording 27 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the last round. Despite Hamilton's great performance the Sokoli 1933 lost
70-84 to the higher-ranked
TFT (#7,
2-2). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Sokoli 1933 can only dream about fighting for top spots in the league. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Hamilton has individually a great season in North Macedonia. After only 4 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 20.8ppg (7th best).

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
The efficiency formula is a combination of various formulas used by different basketball organizations/leagues. We got involved many basketball scouts and journalists to assure it's accuracy.
The formula: 1.5*PTS + 3*(REB+AST+ST+BL-TO) - 2*BSAG - 4*PF + 3*PFRV + 4*(2FGPM+3FGPM) + 1.5*FTM - 3*(2FGPA-2FGPM) - 3*(3FGPA-3FGPM) - (FTA-FTM)
