Pelplin inks Jacek Rutecki

- July 8, 2026

POSTED BY: Eurobasket News

Decka Pelplin (1Liga) agreed terms with 19-year old forward Jacek Rutecki (193cm-2006) for the new 2026-27 season. He played last season at Stal in the OBL. OBL was a little too high level for him, where in 17 games he had just 1.2ppg. 1Liga will be definitely a better match and he can see more playing time. 2025-26 was a great season as he was voted Eurobasket.com All-Polish 2Liga Best Prospect of the Year and named to Eurobasket.com All-Polish 2Liga First Team.
He was a member of the Polish Under 20 National Team last year.
Rutecki has played previously for three other teams: Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski 2nd team, BM Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski 2nd team, and Stal Ostrow.
He won the European North Basketball League championship title in 2023.

Decka Pelplin roster for 2026-27:

Guards:
Mariusz Konopatzki
Samajae Haynes-Jones
Jedrzej Musial

Center:
Oliwier Szczepanski
