KOSIT 2013 is the winner of Extraliga!
KOSIT 2013 - MBK Ruzomberok 65:50 (18:12, 14:13, 16:15, 17:10)

KOSIT 2013 proved it once again that the team deserves to be the best in Extraliga. The third game in the best-of-five series saw the defending champions celebrate in Slovak Republic. KOSIT 2013 beat MBK Ruzomberok 65:50 winning all the quarters of the game. KOSIT 2013 remained undefeated in the 2007/2008 year winning all the games of the regular season and Play-offs. Janel McCarville (188-C-82, college: Minnesota) led the winners with 16 points. Hana Jendrichovska (186-F-73) produced 13, whilst Daniela Cikosova (181-F-82) added 9. Simona Podesvova (186-F-83) ended up with 17 points in defeat. Lucia Kupcikova (184-F-84) nailed 13 and Regina Palusna (192-C-89) posted 10.
MBK Ruzomberok had nothing to lose in the series trailing 0-2 before the game. Both squads stayed close to each other in the opening tip with 8:8. KOSIT 2013 pushed the tempo until the end of the quarter and as a result the champion had 18:12 after it. In the defensive second quarter KOSIT increased to 7 points deficit due to 14:13 in the period.
MBK Ruzomberok looked a bit different in the beginning of the third quarter. Simona Podesvova and her team made some important baskets to take the lead at 31:34. KOSIT 2013 however replied with a tough defense and thanks to Hana Jendrichovska and Janel McCarville the hosts grabbed 58:42 lead with 6 minutes remaining. KOSIT 2013 led the game to the happy end and celebrated another victory in Slovak Republic.

Kosit wins Slovakian Cup
Kosit Kosice win Slovakian Cup 2008 defeating in the final INPEK UKF Nitra 89-50. The thirs place goes to Cassovia Kosice which beat UMB Banska Bystrica 73-62.
