Yvheniia Putra (ex Caledonia G.) agreed terms with Ruzomberok

MBK Ruzomberok (Extraliga) strengthened their roster with the addition of 20-year-old Ukrainian international 191cm center Yvheniia Putra for the 2024-25 season. She played most recently at Caledonia Gladiators in the British WBBL. In 20 games, she recorded 6.5ppg and 4.7rpg last season. She also played 4 games in Eurocup, where she averaged 3.5ppg and 1.8rpg. Putra won the Scottish SBC League championship title in 2024.
During the previous (2022-23) season, she played at CSM Targoviste in the Romanian league.
She has also been a member of the Ukrainian international program for some years. Putra has regularly played for the Ukrainian senior team since 2023 and two years ago for the U22 National Team.
She represented Ukraine at the FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B in Craiova (Romania) last year. During this event, she scored an average of 14.5 ppg and had 9.2 rpg.
Putra is a very experienced player. She has played in Romania, Scotland, Spain (Gran Canaria), and Ukraine (KSLI-Kyiv).
Despite her young age, she had an impressive career. Putra was voted to Eurobasket.com All-FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B Honorable Mention in 2023. She won the Scottish SBC League championship title in 2024.
