1 Liga Round 3 (Regular Season): #1 Ziar/Hronom U23 is defeated by Inter SB

After 3 rounds played we can already see who rules in the 1 Liga and who belongs to weaker ones. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Ziar/Hronom U23 (0-1) in Ziar nad Hronom on Sunday night. Hosts were edged by Inter SB (2-0) 92-90. Inter SB dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Ziar/Hronom U23's 46. Inter SB forced 20 Ziar/Hronom U23 turnovers. It was a great evening for who led his team to a victory scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Robert Hudec (191-2005) helped adding 24 points. The best for the losing side was point guard Samuel Horvath (187-2001) with a double-double by scoring 32 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists. Inter SB are looking forward to face Iskra U23 (#4) in Svit in the next round. Ziar/Hronom U23 will play on the road against Komarno B and hopes to get finally their first victory.
Blue Wings 2 (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed Slavia (0-1) in Kosice 84-57. It was a quality performance for who led the winners and scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Martin Chlupis accounted for 13 points and 4 assists. Yehor Dovhopol came up with 10 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for Slavia in the defeat. Blue Wings 2 will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Slavia will play at home against B.Bystrica (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
The game in Komarno supposed to be also quite interesting. Levoca (1-2) played at the court of Komarno B (1-0). Komarno B smashed Levoca 89-55 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was Martin Pospisil who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Jan Balogac who recorded 15 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Komarno B will meet at home Ziar/Hronom U23 (#8) in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Levoca will play against Zilina and it may be a tough game between close rivals.

In the last game of round 3 bottom-ranked Zilina destroyed B.Bystrica on the opponent's court 79-57.
The most impressive stats of the last round was 14 points and 7 rebounds by Jakub Meress of Zilina.




Komarno B - Levoca 89-55

The game in Komarno supposed to be also quite interesting. Levoca (1-2) played at the court of Komarno B (1-0). Komarno B smashed Levoca 89-55 on Sunday. They outrebounded Levoca 41-25 including a 33-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was who had a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds. chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Komarno B players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Jan Balogac who recorded 15 points and point guard Dmytro Sokolovskyi (190-2004) added 13 points and 6 assists respectively. But B.Bystrica was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Zilina 79-57 on Sunday night. The best player for the winners was who scored 11 points and 9 rebounds.
