Mandim's double-double lands him Hoops Agents Player of the Week award

Vanilson Mandim put on an amazing game in the last round for Ucoga Seguros C.B. Chantada-Ensino and receives a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 2.
He had a double-double of 19 points and 17 rebounds, while his team edged out Novobasket (#13, 0-2), the league's bottom-ranked team 85-82. The game rather meaningless between the teams, which do not have any influence on top of the standings in Group A-B. Chantada is placed at 9th position in Spanish league. Chantada is a typical solid league team placed somewhere in the middle or a little bit lower in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 1-1 record. Mandim turned to be Chantada's top player in his first season with the team.

Second best performed player last round was Victor Serrano (210-C-1989) of Immo Sa Marina Ciutat d'Inca Basquet. He is a center in his first season at D'Inca. In the last game Serrano recorded an impressive double-double of 28 points and 12 rebounds. Of course he led D'Inca to another comfortable win outscoring Mataro UE (0-1) 95-73. The season is still at the very beginning and this victory may help a lot. Let's wait for the next round. Serrano is a newcomer at D'Inca and quickly became one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 22.0ppg (#9). He also registered 13.5 boards per game.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Maximiliano Sole (195-F-1988) of CB Talavera (#14). Sole scored 27 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. Despite Sole's great performance the Talavera lost 106-111 to Gran Canaria B (#4, 2-1). But his team cannot count on just a single shooter as he also needs help of the other teammates. Talavera can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group B-B. They have awful season losing so far all 2 games. Sole has a very solid season. In 2 games in Spain he scored 20.0ppg.
