Gisela Vega (ex Ferroviaro M.) signs at Zamarat

Gisela Vega

Quesos el Pastor Zamarat (LFB) landed experienced 35-year old Argentinian international center Gisela Vega (188-82, agency: ProDep Management). She played in the summer at CFM Ferroviaro Maputo in Mozambican D1 league. In only one African Champions Cup game she had 5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block. Vega's team made it to the Spanish LFB final. She received Latinbasket.com All-Argentinian Superliga Player of the Year award in 2017.
Vega also represented Argentina at the Olympic Games Additional Qualifying Round in Nantes (France) last year. Her stats at that event were 4 games: 8.0ppg, 7.0rpg, 1.3apg, FGP: 33.3%, FT: 60.0%.
Vega has quite traveled the world as her pro career brought her to three different continents (Europe, Latin America and of course North America). Vega has played previously professionally in France (Tarbes), Spain (Real Canoe, IDK Gipuzkoa Universidad del Pais Vasco, Mann Filter, Argon Uni Girona and Gernika) and Argentina (Union Florida and Quimsa).
It may be one of last seasons in her extensive career, which she may end at Zamarat.
