Chandler Jacobs claims Spanish LEB Silver Hoops Agents weekly honour

American Chandler Jacobs (191-G-1999) put on an extraordinary performance in the last round for Bueno Arenas Albacete Basket and that's him to receive a Hoops Agents LEB Silver Player of the Week award for round 13.
The 24-year old guard had the game-high 25 points adding four rebounds and five assists for Albacete in his team's victory, helping them to crush Huelva Com. (#13, 4-9) with 18-point margin 96-78. Albacete is placed at 3rd position in Spanish LEB Silver. They would have been even better if they hadn't lost a few games earlier this season. Albacete will need more victories to improve their 8-5 record. In the team's last game Jacobs had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 6 attempts. He turned to be Albacete's top player in his first season with the team. Chandler Jacobs averages this season 13.5ppg.

The second most remarkable performance in last round's games was young Dutch forward Morgan Stilma (202-F-2000) of Teknei Bizkaia Zornotza. Stilma impressed basketball fans with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. It was enough for Zornotza to edge slightly lower-ranked Huesca (#11, 5-8) by 2 points 71-69. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in West. But Zornotza managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 10th place. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 6-7 record. Stilma is a newcomer at Zornotza and it seems he did not have too much trouble to become one of team's leaders.

The third best performed player last round was Polish Jakub Urbaniak (205-F-2003) of CBA Gran Canaria 2nd team (#8). Urbaniak got into 30-points club by scoring 32 points in the last round. He went also for eight rebounds . He was a key player of Gran Canaria 2, leading his team to a 85-79 win against Santfeliuenc (5-8). The chances of Gran Canaria 2 not to end season at such low position in East, however are less than slim as they have already lost 8 games, recording just five victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Urbaniak could try to bring Gran Canaria 2's a little bit higher in the standings. Urbaniak has individually a great season in Spain. After 13 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in points with 16.4ppg (3rd best). Jakub Urbaniak has also Spanish passport and can play in the league with a status of domestic player.
