Not a big story in a game when 14th ranked Algeciras (4-12) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Albacete (10-6) 73-64 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Martin Fernandez (194-2001, agency: Promo Sport ID) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jorge Martinez (187-1996) who added 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. At the losing side Senegalese Issa Thiam (208-1996, college: Rutgers) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard David Orrit (185-2000) scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Algeciras players scored in double figures. Algeciras' coach Javier Malla let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Albacete moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Algeciras keeps the fourteenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Palma BM. Albacete will meet Melilla (#7) on the road in the next round. Algeciras will play against Alcala (#10) and hope to secure a win.
