Aizpitarte's 27 points give him Segunda FEB Player of the Week award

25-year old point guard Ierai Aizpitarte (180-PG-2000) had an amazing evening in the last round for second-ranked Azpeitia Juaristi Iraurgi Saski Baloia and receives a Hoops Agents Segunda FEB Player of the Week award for round 11.
He had the game-high 27 points adding five rebounds and four assists for Iraurgi SB in his team's victory, helping them to crush Caja 87 (#5, 7-4) with 19-point margin 90-71. Iraurgi SB is placed at 2nd position in Spanish Segunda FEB. They are still close to the very top. Iraurgi SB would have been even better if they kept winning the games like in the last round. They have a solid 9-2 record. In the team's last game Aizpitarte had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 9 attempts. He has many years of experience at Iraurgi SB, through which he has constantly improved. Aizpitarte has impressive league stats. He is in league's top in points (6th best: 18.3ppg) and averages solid 49.2% from behind 3-point line.

Second best performed player last round was James Potier (185-PG-1998) of Castill de Gorraiz Valle de Egues. He is Belgian guard in his first season at Valle de Egues. In the last game Potier recorded an impressive 27 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. It was enough for Valle de Egues to edge slightly lower-ranked Gijon Circulo (#13, 2-9) by 3 points 98-95. The game was between two teams which are definitely not main contenders for the top position in West. But Valle de Egues managed to improve slightly their position in standings taking 12th place. 9 lost games are too many comparing to just three victories Valle de Egues managed to get this year. Potier is a newcomer at Valle de Egues and quickly became one of team's most reliable players.

Third place about best performers goes to forward Javier Menendez (201-PF-1997) of Circulo Gijon Noega Baloncesto (#13). Menendez scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds (!!!). Despite Menendez's great performance the Gijon Circulo lost 95-98 to slightly higher-ranked Valle de Egues (#12, 3-9). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. Menendez has individually a great season in Spain. After 11 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 10.3rpg (#1 in league).

7. Adria Moncanut (183-PG-2002) of Iraurgi SB - 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists
8. Jorge Parra (192-F-1998) of Getafe - 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists
9. Borja Arevalo (195-G-1991) of LBC Cocinas - 12 points, 11 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Sergio Mendiola (207-C-1996) of Toledo - 15 points and 7 rebounds

The Player of the week is selected based on efficiency calculation, but also including game result, importance of the game, if played recorded double-double/triple-double, etc.
