Tres Cantos and Algeciras grab final two Segunda FEB promotion spots

CB Tres Cantos and Damex CB Algeciras completed the promotion picture to Segunda FEB on Sunday, winning their respective final eliminators to claim the last two of six available places for the 2026-27 season.
Both clubs had fallen just short of promotion on Saturday, leaving their coaches to focus on restoring morale ahead of the deciding games. The response was emphatic and now they join Vitaly La Mar BCBadajoz, TQ CB Prat, Movistar Estudiantes, and Jaen Paraiso Interior, who had secured their promotions a day earlier.

CB Tres Cantos 67, CB Puerto Sagunto 58 (Badajoz)
In a tight contest, Tres Cantos earned the first promotion in the club's history. CB Puerto Sagunto led behind an inspired Marco Marco Tortarolo (197-F/C-1994) (12 first-half points) but the sides went into the break level at 34-34. The Madrid club stuck to their game plan and broke the game open in the fourth quarter, with two consecutive baskets from Lardies and a triple from Atienza tilting the balance. Puerto Sagunto had no response.

Damex CB Algeciras 93, Rigalli Alginet 70 (Alginet)
Algeciras were utterly dominant in returning the city to Segunda FEB. Despite hostile home support for Rigalli Alginet, the Andalusian side raced ahead behind early scoring from Eugenio Egea (185-G-2003) and Romar Reid (188-G-2000, college: St.Michael's) (seven points each) before a devastating 27-point second quarter opened a 53-33 halftime lead. Coach Miki Ortega's side cruised from there.
Reid and Dejan Ilincic (211-PF-1999, college: Southeastern) each scored 18 for Algeciras, with Ilincic adding 11 rebounds for a game-high 28 efficiency. For Rigalli Alginet, Victor Pelufo (2003) led with 14.
