American Kelan Martin (201-1995, college: Butler) contributed with 18 points for the winners. Four UCAM players scored in double figures. Georgian Tornike Shengelia (206-1991, agency: Octagon Europe) replied with 18 points and 7 rebounds and American-Serbian Kevin Punter (193-1993, college: Tennessee) added 15 points in the effort for FC Barcelona. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.

They outrebounded Tenerife 34-19 including a 30-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Real Madrid looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Croatian forward Mario Hezonja (202-1995) notched 20 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and French guard Theo Maledon (192-2001) supported him with 16 points and 5 assists. Even 21 points by Australian guard Patty Mills (188-1988, college: SMC) did not help to save the game for Tenerife. International point guard Jaime Fernandez (186-1993) added 14 points for the hosts. Five Real Madrid and four Tenerife players scored in double figures.
