Koping Stars (Basketligan) signed 30-year old Swedish point guard Rami Ghanem (185cm-85kg-1993, college: Keyano) for upcoming 2023-24 season. Ghanem played this summer at Al Khor in Qatari QBL league. In 15 games just recently he had 10.5ppg, 3.6rpg, 3.9apg and 2.7spg.
Part of last season he spent at Al Geish (Superleague) in Egyptian league where in two games he recorded 4.0ppg, 1.0rpg and 1.5apg. He also played for Fryshuset in Swedish Basketligan. In two games he averaged 4.0ppg, 1.0rpg and 1.5apg.
Ghanem is quite experienced player. He has played on four different continents (Europe, Asia, Africa and of course North America). Ghanem has played previously professionally in Canada, Ireland (Killorglin), Saudi Arabia (Deba) and Sweden (Umea).
He was voted to to All-ACAC North Division Second Team in 2017.
Ghanem graduated from Keyano College in 2017 and it will be his seventh season as a professional player.
