Reed Will Guard Riders Roster

Leicester Riders are excited to announce the signing of American guard Soniyah Reed (183-G) for the 2025-26 Super League Basketball season.

Reed joins the Riders following a strong four year collegiate career at Southern University. As a senior, Reed averaged 9.5 points, and 3.0 rebounds per game, leading the Jaguars to an appearance in the NCAA tournament. Reed was named to the 2025 All-SWAC tournament first team.

Standing at 6’0”, Reed adds a dynamic scoring option to the Riders offence with the ability to hit shots at all 3 levels, whilst her athleticism and length will provided added value on both sides of the ball.

Alongside playing for the Riders, Reed complete her masters degree with our partners at Loughborough University after signing at two year deal.
