No shocking result in a game when first ranked Buccaneers (19-3) beat 6th ranked Senators (13-11) in Wonthella 110-98 on Saturday. Buccaneers looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Senators were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Colter Lasher (201-94, college: Houston Baptist, agency: Blacktop Management) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. Tongan-American guard Marcus Alipate (183-92, college: St.Thomas) contributed with 24 points and 5 assists for the winners. Buccaneers' coach used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Nigerian-American forward Robert Anshila (199-86, college: Ft.Hays State) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Justin King (196-89, college: TRU) added 22 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Senators. Five Buccaneers and four Senators players scored in double figures. Buccaneers maintains first position in League with 19-3 record. Loser Senators keep the sixth place with 11 games lost. Buccaneers will face Magic (#13) in Mandurah in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Senators will play on the road against Slammers (#12) in Bunbury and hope to win that game.
