There was a minor upset when their close opponentTimberwolves (4-5) lost to fifth ranked Ballers (2-7) in Wels 84-89 on Sunday. Ballers outrebounded Timberwolves 41-27 including a 31-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ballers looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Ballers made 7 blocks. Dejan Kovacevic (196-2004) nailed 18 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and guard Valentin Pils (185-2004) accounted for 19 points. Forward Philipp DAngelo (198-1989) came up with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and guard Daniele Kuchar (188-2004) added 17 points respectively for Timberwolves in the defeat. Five Ballers and four Timberwolves players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game.
