No shocking result in a game in Innsbruck where fourth rankedRaiders Tirol (5-4) smashed 7th ranked KOS (1-9) 103-59 on Saturday. Raiders dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to KOS 's 30. Raiders forced 20 KOS turnovers and outrebounded them 59-27 including a 22-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Raiders looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by KOS 's players. It was a great evening for center Thomas Pirchner (207-1996) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds. Latvian Edgars Kaufmanis (193-1999, college: Bemidji St.) helped adding 17 points. Four Raiders Tirol players scored in double figures. Raiders Tirol's coach Amir Medinov felt very confident that he used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovenian guard Veljko Dena (192-2003) responded with 22 points and 8 rebounds and German guard Mauro Gerszke (182-1996) scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Raiders maintains fourth place with 5-4 record. KOS lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the seventh position with nine games lost. Raiders will meet Future Team (#8) in the next round. KOS will play against United and hope to win that game.
