The game with biggest result difference took place in Manama. Local Samaheej (1-21) was outscored by tenth ranked Sitra (7-15) 126-77. Sitra dominated down low during the game scoring 90 of its points in the paint compared to Samaheej's 46. They outrebounded Samaheej 64-36 including a 42-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Sitra players were unselfish on offense dishing 39 assists comparing to just 23 passes made by Samaheej's players. The winners were led by American center Steven Toyloy (203-87, college: Cincinnati) who had that evening a triple-double by scoring 24 points, 34 rebounds and 10 assists (perfect from the field making all twelve shots !!!) and Qatari center Mohammad Abdullah (205-82) supported him with 23 points and 5 assists. Five Sitra players scored in double figures. Even 8 points and 9 rebounds by Mohammed Hameed did not help to save the game for Samaheej. Basel Adel added 12 points and 5 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sitra moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Al-Bahrain. Samaheej at the other side stay dead last with 21 lost games. Sitra's next round opponent will be higher ranked Al-Hala (#6) in Muharraq and it may be quite challenging game. Samaheej will play on the road against Hidd (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
