Regular Season Round 26: Al-Hala - Al-Muharraq 70-63
Date: February 5, 2018
Very important is a road loss of third ranked Al-Muharraq (18-6) against sixth ranked Al-Hala (16-8) on Monday night. Visiting Al-Muharraq was defeated by Al-Hala in a tough game in Muharraq 63-70. American-Lebanese center Loren Woods (218-78, college: Arizona) notched a double-double by scoring 27 points and 18 rebounds to lead the effort and Ali Jaffar supported him with 14 points and 4 assists. Even a double-double of 22 points and 10 rebounds by Jamaican power forward Adrian Forbes (211-88, college: Auburn, agency: Haylett Sports) did not help to save the game for Al-Muharraq. Bader Abdulla added 13 points for the guests. Al-Muharraq's coach Ivan Jeremic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Al-Hala moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Al-Riffa and Al-Nweidrat. Al-Muharraq at the other side keeps the third position with six games lost.
