Regular Season Round 21: Gorizont - Gomel-Sozh 80-61

An interesting game for Gorizont (10-5) which hosted in Minsk 4th placed Gomel-Sozh (9-8). Third ranked Gorizont had an easy win 80-61. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gomel-Sozh. The game without a history. Gorizont led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Gomel-Sozh's 28. Gorizont looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Gomel-Sozh's players. It was a good game for Russian center Anna Nuzhnaya (194-92) who led her team to a victory with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Daryna Bachkarova (180-0) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Center Alesia Lalovich (188-79) answered with 9 points and 11 rebounds and guard Tatsiana Tsyruliova (168-88) added 13 points and 5 assists in the effort for Gomel-Sozh. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gorizont have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place with 10-5 record having seven points less than leader Olimpia. Gomel-Sozh at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Gorizont are again looking forward to face Gomel-Sozh (#4) at home in the next round. Gomel-Sozh will have a break next round.
