Top rankedBC Minsk (21-4) recorded its fourth loss in Grodno on Friday night. Visitors were rolled over by second ranked Olimpia (20-5) 85-45 . It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of BC Minsk. It may be a crucial game in the contest for the top position in the league. Olimpia held BC Minsk to an opponent 24.5 percent shooting from the field compared to 40.6 percent accuracy of the winners and made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Olimpia forced 29 BC Minsk turnovers and outrebounded them 44-28 including 30 on the defensive glass. Olimpia looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The former international swingman Maria Lyaskovskaya (179-2007) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Nadzeya Nadzezhka (183-1987) chipped in 10 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Olimpia players scored in double figures. Forward Anastasia Babak (179-2002) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds and Vladislava Kushner (170-2003) added 7 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Olimpia have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 20-5 record behind leader Gorizont 2. BC Minsk at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost.
