The game had a very big importance for second-rankedKangoeroes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kangoeroes smashed bottom-ranked Lummen in Mechelen 110-49 . Kangoeroes dominated down low during the game scoring 82 of its points in the paint compared to Lummen 's 20. Kangoeroes forced 20 Lummen turnovers and outrebounded them 58-19 including a 21-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Kangoeroes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Lummen 's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Annie Kibedi (185-2008, college: OK State) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field). American forward Javyn Nicholson (188-2001, college: Georgia) contributed with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Kangoeroes' coach Arvid Diels felt very confident using entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. replied with 10 points and added 10 points in the effort for Lummen. Kangoeroes have a solid four-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Royal Braine. Lummen at the other side still closes the standings with four games lost. Lummen will play next round against Kortrijk trying to get back on the winning streak. Kangoeroes will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Charleroi on the road.
