The game had a very big importance for second-rankedKangoeroes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kangoeroes smashed 9th ranked Gentson in Mechelen 74-45 . Kangoeroes dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Gentson 's 16. Kangoeroes forced 29 Gentson turnovers. It was a great evening for Laura Vilcinskas who led her team to a victory scoring 15 points. American guard Kennedy Todd-Williams (183-2002, college: Ole Miss, agency: LBM Management) helped adding 14 points. Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Kato Bevernage responded with 13 points and scored 11 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kangoeroes (10-0) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Gentson lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with seven games lost.
