The game had a very big importance for second-rankedKangoeroes as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Kangoeroes smashed 10th ranked Waregem in Mechelen 89-55 . Kangoeroes outrebounded Waregem 36-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Kangoeroes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Kennedy Todd-Williams (183-2002, college: Ole Miss, agency: LBM Management) who scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. The former international Laure Resimont (185-1998) chipped in 18 points. Four Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Kangoeroes' coach Arvid Diels felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was who recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and added 16 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Kangoeroes (11-0) have an impressive 11-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Waregem lost third consecutive game. They keep the tenth place with nine games lost.
