Regular Season Round 28: Bauru - L.Sorocaba 90-71

Date: March 23, 2016
Second ranked Paschoalotto/Bauru (19-7) crushed at home 12th ranked Liga Sorocaba (8-16) by 19 points 90-71, which is the biggest margin this round on Wednesday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Liga Sorocaba. The game was mostly controlled by Paschoalotto/Bauru. Liga Sorocaba was better in fourth quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Liga Sorocaba to just 6 points in third quarter. Worth to mention a quality performance of the former international guard Alex Garcia (191-80, agency: Interperformances) who helped to win the game recording 17 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American Robert Day (198-82, college: W.Oregon) who added 20 points during the contest. At the losing side center Fabricio Melo (213-90, college: Syracuse) responded with 20 points and 5 rebounds and forward Renato Scholz (197-88) scored 10 points. Five Paschoalotto/Bauru and four Liga Sorocaba players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Paschoalotto/Bauru maintains second position with 19-7 record having just two points less than leader Flamengo. Loser Liga Sorocaba dropped to the eleventh place with 16 games lost. Paschoalotto/Bauru will face again Liga Sorocaba (#11) in Sorocabana in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
