Regular Season Round 4: Franca - Osasco B. 73-60

Paulista top team - Vivo/Franca (6-0) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Osasco B. (0-5) in Sao Paulo 73-60. The game was mostly controlled by Vivo/Franca. Osasco B. managed to win fourth quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The winners were led by the former international Lucas Cipolini (206-86, college: BYU-Hawaii) who scored that evening 12 points and 7 rebounds and Guilherme Abreu (200-99) supported him with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Vivo/Franca's coach Helinho Garcia allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points and 6 rebounds by forward Igor Avelino (196-93) did not help to save the game for Osasco B.. Power forward Luiz-Paulo Dos-Santos (210-89, college: Slippery Rock) added 10 points and 7 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Vivo/Franca have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Loser Osasco B. still closes the standings with five games lost. Vivo/Franca will meet America (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Osasco B. will play against Paulistano in Sao Paolo and hopes to get finally their first victory.
