CD Puerto Varas were trailing by 2 points at halftime but managed to get 3-point lead after three quarters before a 19-14 charge of AB Ancud, which allowed them to win the game. They made 18-of-21 free shots (85.7 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) who scored 32 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Venezuelan forward Juan Coronado (203-90, college: Liberty) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Scott is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Ronald Cruces (177-87) who recorded 17 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) and American guard Jay Hook (193-93, college: Tulane) added 13 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Four CD Puerto Varas players scored in double figures.
