Quarter-Finals Round 4: CD Puerto Varas - AB Ancud 95-80

CD Puerto Varas outgunned AB Ancud and forced the decisive fifth game in the quarterfinal series. It looked good early as AB Ancud took a 7-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then CD Puerto Varas had a 22-10 second period charge getting the lead and AB Ancud was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 80-95. CD Puerto Varas dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to AB Ancud's 28. AB Ancud was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jonathan Inman (196-87, college: Alabama A&M) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Ronald Cruces (177-87) contributed with 22 points (made all of his eight free throws) for the winners. Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) replied with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds and Venezuelan forward Juan Coronado (203-90, college: Liberty) added 10 points and 20 rebounds in the effort for AB Ancud. Five CD Puerto Varas and four AB Ancud players scored in double figures.
