Semi-Finals Game 3: AB Ancud - CD Valdivia 89-92

CD Valdivia overcame AB Ancud and swept the semifinal series. The guests trailed by 8 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 4-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 92-89. Deportivo Valdivia dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to AB Ancud's 30 and made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) who had a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Arnold Louis (201-90, college: Savannah St.) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds. Four Deportivo Valdivia players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Jamaican-American guard Akeem Scott (185-83, college: High Point) who recorded a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and the former international point guard Pedro Sandoval (175-89) added 25 points (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) respectively.
