Regular Season Round 23: Las Animas - AB Ancud 65-68

Important game to mention about took place in Valdivia. Fourth ranked AB Ancud (14-11) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 6th ranked Las Animas (12-11) 68-65 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Las Animas. Las Animas were ahead by 3 points after three quarters before a 19-13 charge of AB Ancud, which allowed them to win the game. American forward Reginald Larry (198-86, college: Boise St., agency: Pro Sports) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Sebastian Figueroa (175-88) contributed with 18 points, 7 assists and 5 steals for the winners. American center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech, agency: DTMones) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import guard Dominic Cheek (198-91, college: Villanova) added 13 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Las Animas. AB Ancud have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 14-11 record. Las Animas at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 11 games lost. AB Ancud will play against higher ranked Universidad de Concepcion (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Las Animas will play against Tinguiririca S.F. (#12) in San Fernando and hope to get back on the winning track.
