Regular Season Round 13: Osorno - Las Animas 73-74

Fifth-ranked Osorno Basquetbol (3-10) used its home court advantage to challenge first ranked Las Animas (13-1). The visitors from Valdivia managed to secure only one-point victory 74-73. However their fans expected much easier game. American forward Kristian Clarkson (202-84, college: Widener) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 rebounds for the winners and the former international point guard Franco Morales (179-92) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American Durrell Summers (193-89, college: Michigan St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and the other American import center Terrell Taylor (203-81, college: Virginia Tech) scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Las Animas have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with 13-1 record. Osorno Basquetbol lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Puerto Montt. Las Animas will play against CD Castro (#4) at home in the next round. Osorno Basquetbol will play against the league's second-placed Deportivo Valdivia and hopes to get back on the winning track.
