Important game to mention about took place in Puerto Montt. Fifth ranked Puerto Montt (5-12) saved a 1-point derby victory at home edging 4th placed CD Castro (6-12) 86-85 on Wednesday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of CD Castro. CD Castro was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Spanish-Venezuelan guard Jhornan Zamora (196-89) nailed 30 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and American forward Devon Scott (206-94, college: Philander Smith) accounted for 16 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Rakim Brown (198-91, college: Humboldt St.) came up with 34 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and American-Puerto Rican guard Wil Martinez (188-92, college: Fairmont St.) added 32 points respectively for CD Castro in the defeat. Puerto Montt maintains fifth place with 5-12 record, which they share with Tinguiririca S.F. CD Castro at the other side keeps the fourth position with 12 games lost. Puerto Montt will play against Osorno Basquetbol (#6) at home in the next round. CD Castro will have a break next round.
