Regular Season Round 8: Sabios - Halcones 78-68

Everything could happen in Manizales at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Sabios and 7th ranked Halcones had identical 3-4 record. This time Sabios used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Cucuta 78-68 on Saturday night. Sabios made 21-of-24 free shots (87.5 percent) during the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sabios made 7 blocks. The winners were led by Canadian guard Ashton Smith (187-89, college: Indiana, PA) who scored that evening 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Canadian guard Shamar Coombs (185-86, college: Texas A&M-CC) supported him with 13 points and 4 assists.
