Regular Season Round 3: Guantanamo - Santiago 63-49

Guantanamo (2-1) beat at home Santiago de Cuba (1-2) by 14 points 63-49, which is the biggest margin this round on Thursday night. The game was mostly controlled by Guantanamo. Santiago de Cuba managed to win third quarter 17-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was power forward Yunieski Bouly Garzon (184-92) who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds. International center Clenia Noblet (190-87) chipped in 7 points. Guantanamo's coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Arianne Mena (182-85) who recorded 14 points and forward Suanly Tanis (178-94) added 13 points respectively. Guantanamo will meet at home Sancti Spiritus in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Santiago de Cuba will play against Camaguey and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
