Regular Season Round 10: Guantanamo - Capitalinos 60-89

Bottom-ranked Guantanamo (0-8) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their eighth consecutive match to fourth ranked Capitalinos (5-4) 89-60 on Tuesday evening. Capitalinos outrebounded Guantanamo 44-26 including 32 on the defensive glass. Power forward Arlen Alorda (198-86) fired 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Hector Martinto (197-94) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Five Capitalinos players scored in double figures. Capitalinos' coach Rainel Panfet felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Raudelis Guerra (191-93) produced a double-double by scoring 26 points, 5 assists and 12 steals and the former international swingman Yoanis Soria (195-86) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Capitalinos have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Matanzas. Loser Guantanamo still closes the standings with eight games lost. Capitalinos will meet at home league's leader Villa Clara in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Guantanamo will play against Guerreros (#4) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
