The game between Top Four teams took place in Limassol. Third ranked hostAEL (15-6) defeated one of their biggest challengers Anorthosis (12-10) 86-72 . The game was mostly controlled by AEL. Anorthosis was better in fourth quarter 22-19 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Anorthosis 41-28 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. AEL players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by American forward TJ Bickerstaff (206, college: JMU) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points, 16 rebounds and 5 assists and the other American import forward Tyrn Flowers (206-1998, college: LIU Brooklyn, agency: GSE Worldwide) supported him with 20 points and 11 rebounds. AEL's coach Kalia Papadopoulou allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 15 points and 8 rebounds by American power forward Stokley Chaffee (204-1996, college: Tennessee St.) did not help to save the game for Anorthosis . Bahamas forward Kentwan Smith (203-1991, college: Stetson) added 13 points and 9 rebounds. Four AEL and five Anorthosis players scored in double figures. AEL maintains third position with 15-6 record having five points less than leader AEK Larnaca. Anorthosis lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with ten games lost. They share the position with APOEL.
